The Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist places uniquely-shaped cups on the skin through a suction by negative pressure for a few minutes. The cups are generally glass, bamboo, earthenware, or silicone. It is a type of deep-tissue massage.
People apply it for many functions, including pain relief, reducing inflammation, better blood circulation, relaxation and general well-being. Cupping methods include wet or dry.
Cupping therapy might be trendy in modern today, but it’s not new. It dates back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures. The Ebers Papyrus book has described how the ancient Egyptians used cupping therapy in 1,550 B.C.
